lo, lolo lolo lolololololo lolo lo lo ............

Here we are. Unfortunately, we are not one of the 10 winners of Euroscola (so we are not going to Strasbourg, at least this year) but we are one of the runner-up teams, that is “equipos finalistas” . We are the best team in English in Madrid.

Do you know what a youth hostel is ? Think about it ´cause it is related to the prize we´ve won.

Open doors at the EU institutions on the 9th May

Europe Day (9 May) celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historical 'Schuman declaration'. At a speech in Paris in 1950, the French foreign minister, Robert Schuman, set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between Europe’s nations unthinkable.

This is a video from the web  www.europe.eu   about the 2012 open doors day  (in this page you can see the open doors at EU institution s and what is happening this year )
Enjoy it !

THE FINAL QUIZ- WORD BY WORD

This is the final quiz the students have done after we have been working on Europe for some sessions. We have been learning about The European Union, the countries, geography, the European institutions , our rights as European citizens and european values.
On the 9th May, the students will go to some classes in our highschool and play the quiz using the interactive whiteboard (they´ll go to the classes whose teachers have participated with us by teaching their students general things about the European Union).
This blog has also been published in our web so that teachers from other highschools can use our resources.

Here you have the game so that you can play with your students.
